Hi, I am an associate professor of the University Paris 6. My research deals with model engineering. I work on the MDA approach and I contribute to the MOFQ/V/T standard at the OMG. My teaching is mainly about middleware such as EJB and Web Services.

I have just written my second book !

UML2 pour les développeurs

The first one was !

MDA en action : Ingénierie logicielle guidée par les modèles!

Research

I have passed my PhD in 2002. The subject was the exchanges of models for building distributed applications. In my thesis I have contributed to the Enterprise viewpoint of the RM-ODP ISO standard. I have used the MOF and XML to provide a framework for executing model transforms.

Rigth now I am still working on model engineering. I think that the MDA is a good approach. That's why I contribute to the MOF Q/V/T standard. This standard will provide a langage for model transform.

I am also developping an OpenSource framework wich provides all MDA sevices. You can test is at http://www.eclipse.org/mddi/. While I was building this framework, I noticed that there was a real need for model interoperability. That's why I have started to work on the ModelBus. Now, I continue this work in the ModelPlex project.
