Luciana Arantes

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Pierre et Marie Currie (Paris 6), member of the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6)
and member of  INRIA/LIP6 Regal Project.


My current research focuses on adapting distributed algorithms to large-scale, dynamique or heterogeneous environments. We have been interested in scalability, fault-tolerance and latency tolerance aspects of distributed algorithms, such as mutual exclusion, resource allocation, failure detectors or partition detectors. I also work with distributed support for muti-agent systems in large-scale environments.
My Phd. thesis works were in memory consistency models, distributed shared memory and logical clocks for heterogeneous or large-scale systems such as Grid or interconnection of workstation clusters.
